Long Slide 10mm

I have been looking thru the bone pile to find the answer and I am a bit confused so I will ask and suffer the laughs and jeers.
I like the looks of a long slide-Just do.
Would a 10mm in a long slide need to be a custom project? I do not recall seeing any manufacturerer offer a long slide.
Blessings

Supposedly Dan Wesson is about to come out with a 10mm longslide Patriot variant.

There were a couple longslide 10mm guns, I think. The AMT Javelina was one of them.

The Springfield Armory Omega was available with both 5" and 6" slides. This was essentially a 1911 with a unique slide that had more in common (internally) with a Sig that a 1911. I used a 6" one for years and loved it, I wish I hadn't sold it. The slide was made by Peters Stahl in Germany and was wonderfully built.

I just ran into one at a gun show a few weeks ago but didn't have the $.

Anyway, the 10mm and 6" slide makes a great combo. Plenty of pressure to get that big piece of steel moving quickly (the main complaint you hear about 6" .45 ACP 1911's is the sluggish slide, something action shooters hate) and the longer sight radius makes for easy shooting.

If Dan Wesson does come out with this it will be a popular gun.

EAA makes a longslide 10mm now as well if I recall, I think it is even available in camo if you like.

Good luck!

Brent

There is a Longslide Omega on Gunbroker

I was out at gunbroker this am, I saw a 10mm Omega in a 6" for sale. I think auction ends soon. I am not involved in the sale, just remembered seeing it.
