Spring

10mm can be compared to the HEMI of the 60s......Drive them like They were meant to run, They won't last as long as a Slant Six without some workin' on, 100rds a day from the 10mm, keep a watch on anywhere the frame, slide, or anything else can batter, 100rds per week, keepin' it sprung properly it should last a long time......But I still don't know which spring weight to use and I'd probably use the factory weight untill I seen different, it may be that somebody up there knows something, let's hope so anyway

Casca:

With full-throttle loads from DT and Buffalo Bore, I've tried a 20lb and 22lb Wolff XP spring in my 1006. Both worked with no problems.

Picking just one for an "all-around" stiffer-than-stock spring, the 20lb is the one I'd go with. Should run fine with factory loads ranging from wimpy .40-level to the real 10mm hot stuff.

As always, though, test your gun thoroughly with the new XP recoil spring installed. You might find that it's time to upgrade the springs in your 10XX-series mags to XP as well.
