| Reloading for 9x23
I am really new to reloading the 9x23. I do reloaod 9mm, .45acp, .44 mag and a couple of others. Looking to get set up in the right direction. Mine 9x23 is a Colt government model. I am going to use it mainly for IDPA. The cost of buying ammo by the case is killing my wallet. So I do have a suppy on winchester brass to start. Ken |

I think that you would be served better with th 9mmPara or the .45ACP. There doesn't appear to be much load data on the 9x23. Of all the books I have, the Hodgdon Reloading Annual is the only data I have, and that is 1 load. 5.3gr - 6.3gr/231 under a 125 JHP. Slim pickings. The biggest downside of the 9x23 is the recovery of brass. Most, if not all, are lost brass matches and that drives the cost of the expensive to the almost out of reach proportions. 9mmPara, if you lose it, who cares? It's plentiful and dirt cheap. | |
