"cleanest" ammo .45acp?

i am trying to find the cleanest shooting ammo for my 1911. I know from experience that the UMC and Wolf brands are dirty shooting.

what do you guys reccomend?

Winchester markets the "WinClean" ammo. You might wanna try it for 1st hand experience.

CCI Blazer

I have always found CCI Blazer ammo to be clean, and cheap. Of course some shooters take issue with the aluminum cases. Not me, just good cheap ammo that I don't have to pick up after ( non reloadable ).

stay away from the winclean. i purchased some from wall mart about a year ago for target practice and i couldn't even shoot the whole box. the barrel of my .45 became covered in this yellow dust/chalk like substance and the sound of the ignition of the powder even changed. I don't know id it was the lot or the wall mart but i think it was the brand I'll shoot winchester but not win"not so" clean.

my .02

I don't know how it stacks-up for "cleanliness" but I've been shooting Speer Gold Dot 230gr & 200gr+P for the past year or so and I really like that ammo. Also Remington Golden Saber 185gr+P.
