Accurate 45 ammo
Aside from the stopping power and feeding/ejecting issues, is there any data to be found on the most accurate .45 ammunition?
I'm using my SA 1911 loaded pistol and would like some idea on which ammo you find to be the most accurate.
I shoot a lot of .22 target ammo in my Ruger MkII and 10/22 and have a wealth of information on tests for accuracy, brand by brand. I can spend more per round on a .22 than a .45. You get what you pay for.
The search isn't helping me.

Each gun is a law unto itself. Try a box of everything to see what shoots most accurately at 15, 25, up to the limits of your ability of the bench and bags (say 35 - 50 yds.) Your choice of optimum load should be based on Reliability first and accuracy, second.
FWIW, Federal 230-gr. Hydro-Shok is purportedly the most accurate self-defense loading. That's where I'd start.
