Dane Durns

Recently acquired a pistol in an estate sale said to be built by Dane Burns. It has the Scottish thistle on both the slide and frame and is hard chromed. Looks really nice. Trying to find out more information on Dane and everything I find comes up as very old info. I was directed to this sight as being a sight he helped create. Is there any current information on MR. Burns? Does he still do custom builds. His website was last updated in 2008.

No idea, sorry. As little help as I am, I would like to ask you to post pics before someone else does. it's almost guaranteed to come up!

Last I read Mr. Burns was not taking new work, his backlog supposedly runs several years at this point. (Beyond my meager understaning to know why someone would wait multiple years to get their gun worked on by any smith out there, but that's a topic for another thread.)

Anyhow, if you just want more info on the Burns-built gun I would think Dane would have a spare second to answer an inquiry or two.
