charcoal bluing history

What year did Colt stop producing their Commercial model pistols with their charcoal bluing? Was it all pistols after 1941? What bluing did they go to?

When commercial production resumed in October 1946 the change from the oven/carbon bluing to chemical bluing was implemented. This was at serial number C220001.

No problem. BTW, there were no commercial pistols made during WWII--all production went to the military.

Well, I'm not a baseball fan, but I believe it was the St. Louis Cardinals over the Boston Red Sox.
