| Help! Charcoal bluing history question
What year did Colt stop producing their Commercial model pistols with their charcoal bluing? Was it all pistols after 1941? What bluing did they go to? |

When commercial production resumed in October 1946 the change from the oven/carbon bluing to chemical bluing was implemented. This was at serial number C220001.

No problem. BTW, there were no commercial pistols made during WWII--all production went to the military.

Well, I'm not a baseball fan, but I believe it was the St. Louis Cardinals over the Boston Red Sox.
