| 1879 Colt SAA
A friend brought over a Colt SAA with a five digit serial number, call to Colt says that the firearm was built in 1879. It is in excellent condition, Nickle with engraving on the barrel, cylinder, and backstrap. I tried to add a picture but can't figure out how to. Any ideas what I have here?

Hello. Wow, that old SAA is probably worth spending the money on a Colt factory letter. It will tell you where and when it was shipped. Sometimes they even list the original end customer.
