Newest Colt Addition
1977 circa blue Combat Commander, very nice condition, very nice shooter:
Center mass and head shots with the Combat Commander, left side, Detonics MkII. I was only shooting at 10 yards, more to make sure the guns functioned correctly; I had 2 FTF with the Detonics and 1 with the Commander. Next range trip I'll run another 50-100 rounds through the Colt...and shoot the CBP Qualification Course - 30 rounds.
Oh yes, the Colt was $650 out the door and included 2 non-colt magazines.

I owned and carried several Combat Commanders back in the 70's and 80's.
I always thought that it just might be the perfect size .45.
I liked the Officer's ACP, but I still wish I'd kept one of the Combat Commanders.
If I was going to buy one today, I'd get a new Colt stainless model.

I still own one here's a picture of mine with my father's WWI helmet before I loan the helmet to a local museum:
Needs refinishing but, don't know if Colt still does this?

I agree. The commander is about the perfect size for this gun. Mine is much like S.B.s above. It also could use refinishing but it won't get it. I love every tiny imperfection in it's satin nickel finish.
