Cylinder bore and barrel measurements for 22lr and 22mag

I have a Colt New frontier in 22lr and 22mag convertable with the 4 5/8" barrel. I bought it new and unfired .I took caliper measurements of each bore in the 2 cylinders.in 22lr I got all consistant .222". and in 22mag cylinder all .225". Then I fired a 22short into towels and recovered the bullet. It was well intact and not deformed so I took the measurement of that and it was .218" (barrel bore.) Do these measurement sound good? I also measured the bullets and the 22lr ranged from .223-.225" and the magnums were .223-.224. I didnt have a thinner feeler guage less than .008" but I couldnt slip that between the cylinder and barrel so I guess its tighter than .008" .
