Colt Officers Model

I own an Officers Model in .38 Colt, don't know the year of manufacture, but its a flat latch. It functions fine, locks up tight, etc. I don't shoot it very often because of its age, but I've noticed before ejecting the empties, one primer will show a deeper indentation than the others. I would appreciate any help as to what is causing this. The primer isn't punctured, just deeply indented. Thanks in advance.

First, make sure it always on the same chamber.

If it is, it's likely some odd-ball problem with the cylinder, but what I couldn't even guess at without actually seeing the gun.

For a date of manufacture, check the number here:

It does occur in the same chamber; I failed to note that in my initial post. I don't know of any local smiths that can work on these guns. I need to decide if I want to send it off to one of the Colt smiths referenced on the forum or just leave it as is. I checked the site you provided and it is a 1904 make. Thanks for your response.

Colt will no longer work on the older guns.

I recommend Pittsburgh Handgun Headquarters, or Cylinder & Slide.
