Colt Frontier Scout question

I've been trying to place a value of my scout recently and noticed that scouts with serial numbers "F" as the suffix seem to be more valuable. Why is that? Also, is there some reference site where I can determine the age of my gun?

The "F" series was the first run of Frontier Scouts.
These had serial numbers that start with "Q" or "F", and had aluminum frames.
The later "K" and "P" series had frames made of zinc alloy (Zamac).

The last series made from 1970 to 1986 had color case hardened steel frames.

Here's a resource for Colt serial numbers up to 1979.
There are books with numbers up to 1985.
