Any one have any experience with this pistol as it concerns reliability, craftsmanship, quality and where would it fall in the CZ clone food chain?

The sphinx is as good or better than the guns they are patterned after. CZ's are great guns and I have owned a couple of them.
The people I know that own Sphinx's that actually shoot them...say they are first rate. The finish, function and fit are first rate...your paying for the details and it shows on the guns. Most people who have a Sphinx buy them as "safe guns" as they are expensive, rare and very nice. Sphinx is starting to import into the states again, this year I believe. Thsi may bring the price down a little and get them in the hands of more shooters. Get a Sphinx....
Shoot well

Eric:

Have you ever had the chance to try the trigger on a Sphinx 2000? I am curious whether the double action is free of the bumps and grinds on a CZ-75. Did they ever find a distributor here? Last I heard they were looking.

Thanks.

I handled one last year, and the DA trigger was excellent. Seemed well-fit, but the one I handled was well-used and bought used, so I have no idea what a new one feels like. Again, the trigger was memorable.

Sphinx

Hany,
Can you recall anything else about your experience with that pistol in regards to, handling, accuracy, fit in the hand, overall quality even though as you stated the pistol was well used I would be interested in how it had held up in use.

My buddy is a CZ fanatic. He owns every possible configuration and shoots them in IPSC/IDPA with me. He even shot bullseye last year with a CZ having a 22 conversion kit. Anyway, he claims sphynx is the absolute, hands down, best quality you can buy in this configuration.
