Just became a DW revolver owner with a 44-V6. It possesses an exquisite blue finish and the hand filling DW wood grips are way cool!

Is there any way to tell for certain from markings on the gun? I have the original box too. Did they print any useful info on there or were they generic? Do you have any idea how much this gun is worth in perfect condition with the box and tools that came with it? It is the 6" barrel in stainless with the vented rib and there's a big chunk of square metal beneath the barrel going all the way to the end. Has big wood grips (no checkering) with tiger stripped looking grain with a bronze medallion in the middle that says DW. Any help is appreciated. Shoots nice. Thanks again! |

rr, Saw one this weekend for $650 at a gun show & I could have got it for less.I was offered $150 for my blued 4"DW.LOL,you couldn't buy it from me for $600,I love shooting this gun!One bad thing you have to accept, if you are trying to sell, people right now ,MOSTLY want AUTOMATICS,something that is light & can shoot 15 or 16 times! They consider REVOLVERS passe, guns OLD TIMERS shoot.I have an AUTO but I'm keeping & shooting my DW.It goes BANG everytime & hits where I aim,6shots if ok with me! | Newbie to this forum and Newbie to Dan Wesson Revolvers!!
Last January, I bought a Blued "new condition" Dan Wesson in .41 Mag. It's a 6" with a vent rib and the heavy under rib. The grips are the wooden no finger grooved and they as well as the gun is STUNNING!!!! I also bought a 8 3/8" barrel Smith 57-1 at the same time and its in excellent condition as well. Could not believe the value in the Dan Wesson ...... got it for $275!! The guys in the Smith forum could not believe that I did not pack it home right then but I savored it for a couple of days. The day after I bought it, another guy walked in and .......... it was gone! WHEW! Three 44s |

I have one, it's 414 supermag but don't shoot it much. I haven't a place to shoot beyond 25 yards and that's not much of a challenge for that revolver.

I just bought a DW .357 2 1/2" vent rib fixed rear sight, red ramp front sight Monson Ma. Has smaller walnut grips with round DW emblems. Hardly used. I gave $200. Does this sound like a model 14? Any way to tell for sure? Thanks

Yep, you got a model 14, 15 has adjustable rear sight. They made the 14 & 15 with dogleg or porkchop style shroud from 71 to 74, after that, they made new style shroud without dogleg.

I have a model 15-V Pistol Pack. .357mag. Blue. Heavy lug. Ventilated shrouds. 8", 6", 4", 2" barrels. http://www.cnw.com/~hotrod/Toys/GunStuf ... olPack.JPG Love this pistol, but I must admit, it seems to have a bit of a timing problem. Double action trigger is one of the best I've got in a revolver. Single action is incredible. Belt buckle, jacket patch. Three sets of grips. Wood large. Finger groove. And Pacmyr's. Also the serialized case. It's one of the more accurate revolvers I own. -Steve |

Hi... Brand new here...just stumbled across this forum looking for some on-line reloading data. I was intriqued by the forums being delineated by manufacturer. I happen to own two Dan Wesson revolvers. One is a stainless .44 Mag with interchangeable barrels in 6" and 2" with smooth wooden grips. The other is a blued gun in .375 Supermag with an 8 3/8" shrouded barrel with slots cut in the shroud. I need to find reloading dies for the .375 Supermag. Any ideas? Thanks for whatever help anyone can provide... |

I posted here in Sept. '04 that I thought that I would like one in 45LC or 460 Rowland. Well, I found one on Gun Broker and will pick it up Saturday if everything goes as it should. Model 45V, 6" with the box and papers. It's like waiting for Christmas morning. |

Hi everyone! I'm new here, first post. I just bought another DW .357, this one is a 715, 6" VH Barrel, and three grips, I should get it today or tomorrow. Hope it's as nice as it looks. I'm already looking for a 4" VH barrel and shroud. This will be my fifth model 15 going back to 1977 when I bought a near mint model 15-2, the nicest one by far of the four. The two I others I actually bought ranged from good condition to pretty nasty with a badly pitted barrel. I carried the nasty one at work as a bouncer/security guard in a Las Vegas casino, it functioned perfectly, and I didn't care if it got scratched up in a fight. And it sure did! The fourth was built from a big box of parts I bought from an old guy back in 81 I think. He was closing up his gunshop and I asked him if he had DW parts. He comes up with a big box and tosses it on the counter and says, "Fifty bucks, it's yours!" I could see a 4" VH shroud, new, so I instantly gave him fifty bucks and spent an hour in my truck, looking through my treasure. There were more than enough parts to build a complete blued model 15, and I did just that when I got home. I ended up with a whole bunch of spare parts, and my "new" (the frame had use and a nasty scratch on the side) I took all the other stuff to the corner gunshop right down the street from me then, and traded all the rest for a 4" and a 6" VH barrels and shrouds. At my peak, I had four model 15s, with 4" and 6" barrels and shrouds for all of them. Sadly, I sold them all off, and the nicest one, still in excellent shape went for part of a new PC about 10 years ago. A friend bought it, never shot it, and was supposed to give me first shot at buying it back. He forgot, and sold it to his cousin, who still has it. Hopefully, the new one shoots as good as the others, and then I can look for another of my old favorites, a Browning BDA .380. Lots of them out there... |

I recently picked up a CBOB in .45. My only "complaint" is that it might be a little to tightly fit,but thats nothing some shooting wont cure .Now I want to find someone to bob my SA.

I have two DW revolvers: A near mint Monson 715VH 6" A decent enough Monson 15 V made from parts from several sources. I had 4 other Model 15's in the past, ranging from a near mint one, to one I put together out of a huge box of parts I bought for $50. |
