And at this point it is just a rumor, just like the one I came up with. EAA has sold all of it's steel frame Witness pistol stock to CDNN. Perhaps Dan Wesson will now be the importer for the steel frame Witness line of pistols. Just a rumor, nothing more.

Yep, as I understand it Dan Wesson will still produce their own line of handguns, but maybe we will see them in shops where CZ weapons are stocked. This could be very good for Dan Wesson!

DW is working on getting a CZ line for its dealers.

Word has it that CZ will be allowing DW to continue with its 1911 series and also might expand the DW revolver line up. This could end up being a win-win situation. DW can make great guns, but they have very few retailers, CZ can make great guns and they have retailers everywhere, but they do not have a revolver design on the market. If DW products get placed in every CZ retailer's display case, DW sales could go through the roof!

The Dan Wesson 1911 I have has an extremely tight slide to frame fit and an extremely tight barrel bushing. A very high quality gun.

| DW+CZ= -$$$
As in, I'll be spending a lot more gun money if they actually come up with some new designs. I just think that this is a very complimentary move for each. They really match each other's weaknesses with their own strengths, from sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution to almost completely different lines of firearms. This will be very interesting to see what comes of this marriage! |

Well, it sure didn't take Bob Serva very long. After having produced DW's 10mm 1911 "Razorback" (and other DWs in this caliber), Bob's already posted over on the 1911.com DW forum about a CZ97B in 10mm. ![]() http://www.1911forum.com/forums/showthr ... ghlight=10 The guy sure knows how to get my attention! ![]() 8) |

EAA's been making those for a while, though.
