OOPS! Need to refinish my Rem 700 TG and Floorplate

About the last thing I expected was that the trigger guard and floorplate on my Remington 700 PSS was PAINTED and not anodized. I was stripping the previous owners camo job off the metal and next thing I knew I was looking at bare aluminum (if that is what it is). Now I have to come up with a way of restoring a dark matte black finish to the parts. Any suggestions. A steel tg/fp combo is completely out of my budget. What finish will be strong and solvent resistant? Does anyone have an idea of what shops charge to Hard Coat Anodize a small part like this? Is hard coat even a good idea? Alumahyde II? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ted,
I will give Virgil a call. It shouldn't be too costly to do just this small part. (wishful thinking)

The trigger guard and floor plate were not anodized, that's what took me by surprise. I stripped a couple of other parts with the same stripper, which were anodized. The accessory rail which fits into the forend of the McMillan stock for instance. No problem. I stripped the trigger guard and floorplate and the original, black finish just melted off, and went down to the bare aluminum.

Addendum: The trigger guard and floor plate are painted by Remington and not anodized because they are some sort of pot metal casting, not aluminum. Lesson=Never underestimate a company trying to cut costs.
