Can a blued 220 be hard chromed without weakening the frame

Will hard chroming the anodized frame have a negative effect on it's strength?

Hello. I don't think so, but hard chrome cannot be applied directly to aluminum alloy. It is my understanding that the frame would need to be E-nickled and then hard chrome added. (There may be other finishes to which hard chrome can be applied, but this is the only one I've heard of.)

Best.
