I've read all the posts about hard chrome and haven't run across this issue. I have a 1911 with Bob Krieger's Acc-u-rails installed. I know they're expensive and I know slide-to-frame fit is not where you loose most of a 1911'a potential mechanical accuracy but they are s-w-e-e-t. Operating the slide by hand feels like oil on glass. The questions is, can the frame and slide of this pistol be hard chromed or are the tolerances too tight to allow it? |

Just tell whoever does your rails that you will have the gun chromed. They will give you rails that are a bit smaller. My SV IMM gun heads out for rails while I am gone. Tom AF Shooting Team |
