I've got a 1958 national match Ser#34xx NM that has some very minor pitting on the slide and the blueing has been worn off down to bare metal in several places by someone triyng to remove the surface rust. I want to refinish this thing in something close to the original royal blue but I don't trust Colt's QC right now. Who else does a professional, Heirloom quality refinish like this? I hate the thought of tampering with this gun but I think It's past that point now. Something must be done. |

If your looking for a heirloom quality refinish, I would contact Doug Turnbull Restorations. They can actually restore the gun to or near to original condition. They are expensive, but with a fine old NM, you may wish to invest the money and have it returned to new condition. |

If you are in the west Try Gary Reeder in Flagstaff. He re-blued my Colt SAA after inscribing my ranch brand on it.
