Just looking for some info on the size of the two guns, I know that the G20 and G21 are the same, just not sure about the smaller ones.

"Is the Glock 29 (10mm) the same size as the G30 (.45) ?"

Yes, the frames and slides are the same size. Last I knew of, the 30 came with an extention on one magazine that the 29 does not have, but other than that they are the same dimensions.

I've held both.

Width-wise, they're the same. Height-wise they can be the same unless the G-30 uses the 10rd mag. With the 10rd mag, the mag bottom (i.e., the floorplate needed to make the mag a 10-rounder) sticks out more, making the pistol "taller," if you know what I mean.

The G-29's mag holds 10rds from the git-go, not 9rds like the G-30. Using a Pearce grip extension floor-plate on the G-29 will basically make the gun as "tall" as the G-30 with its 10rd mag.

HTH.

Ahhh, thanks. I have been wondering about this. The 10mm is about a .41 mag, and ten rounds in a package that size is a good thing.

I have a G29 and I bought a G30 upper and mags and it works great!

I called the Glock distributor first to ask if it would work and they said "yes, they are the same lower"

Grins.... One more Glock toy to think about. I'm rounding up the funds to get .357 Sig top ends for my .40's. Now I have this to think about.......
