1911 optima 2000 red dot sight

Does anyone know anything about the Optima 2000 red dot sight? I bought one about 10 or so years ago and put it on a pistol. I didn't shoot it much and wore the battery out showing the darn thing off. anyway the battery went down and I pulled it and it has sat in the safe for years. Tonight I pulled it out and stuffed a fresh battery in it and it will not come on. No dot, no instructions, no manual, no nuthing!

Is there something I forgot, some one that I need to send it to for repair, or what?

Any help would be appreciated.

If not used over a long period the chemicals in some electronics will break down over time. Especially the ones they were using 10 years ago. Strangely enough electronic components actually last longer when they get regular use. This company sells the current version of what I believe you have. You might give them a call and see if they can help, or at least point you to someone who can.
