That looks pretty good, especially those prices...I've now seen two things that I wasn't familiar with that I want(at least to try)...The CZ-75 and the HS-2000!

I handled an HS2000 the other day. I'd say it was not quite as well finished as a Glock (95%) but I liked some of the features better. The trigger was a little rough, but it had a nice frame/slide solidity I never found with the Glock design.

It looked like a lot of gun for the money (in a plastic sort of way).

I just got one yesterday and shot it today. I got it for the guns' price - $300 delivered, cheap 9mm ammo prices, and because the grip just feels great to my hand. I got a Gen 3 with the light rail. Quality of construction seems on a par with Glock to me but I did have a few problems when I shot it today. I had the two mags provided and 100 rounds of Magtech 115 ball and 50 rounds of Magtech 115 HP. The magazines failed to lock back at least six times and happened to both mags. The most serious failure was an FTE that caused a double feed on the next to last mag fired. I'd heard about the FTE problem on HS2000 Talk but it seemed to be confined to cheap Wichester fodder from Walmart. I'm going to try another brand but am not sure what to do about the failures to slidelock on empty mags.

Tom.....would you suggest that I purchase an HS2000 to carry CCW? Sounds like it has a good track record at your place and people are buying them up. How many rounds would you guess that the loaners have run through them at your range? Could be a sleeper instead of the buying the Glock.

A friend and I stepped onto the range last night with my brand new HS2000 and a box of American Eagle 9mm ammo. We started out doing head shots on an IDPA target at 7 yards. I pumped 10 rounds into a 3 inch group, handed the gun to Brian and he pumped 10 rounds into a 2 inch group. So far so good. We walked back to the 50 foot line. I nailed 10 out of 10 head shots. Brian completely missed his first three, took a few seconds to adjust his eyes, and then placed 7 straight shots into a 3 inch group.

50 shots, no failures of any kind. The recoil is extremely modest. This thing is really accurate. We're talking Beretta 92/Glock 34 accurate. We'll see how the next 10,000 rounds go, but so far, this is the nicest little gun I've ever owned.

Oh, by the way, I have a grand total of $300 into it. That includes two magazines. These are not the chintzy magazines. They are the heavy gauge metal, chrome plated, drop free type that look like they'll last forever.

Best Wishes to all. Mark Shuell.
