Bul Safety?

Hello,

Flipped to the back of the Brownell's catalog to browse their "generic" items.

Found a safety by Bul. MIM.

http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...000015dd&s=849

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these. I generally don't like MIM, and prefer Wilson ambi safeties, but this looks familiar - do they make 'em for anyone besides themselves?

What info can you give me on this part? Anything would be helpful.

Thank you,

Josh <><

Re: Bul Safety?

I asked a friend of mine about the Bul pistols and parts due to him being posted to Israel in the early '90's.

He said that both are very good, but I don't think that the parts were MIM at that time.

I say stick with the Wilson's. Better the devil you know.

RePete,

Thanks for the info.

I agree, I think I'll stick with Wilson.

Thanks again,

Re: Bul Safety?

I am the Bul distributor for Australia. Initially Bul safeties were made in the Kimber factory along with many of the other parts. Now that Bul are making their own, they retained the style fo the Kimber made one. I think Chip McCormack has a very similar styled one as well.
Apart from the Bul pistols I have sold with this safety, I have sold 100s for aftermarket fitment and had only one breakage reported to me.
