| Pistol advice...
I got a permit to buy my self a new 9mm or .45 pistol. I have to use this permit within the year. .Things is, I have no idea what to buy. There is a lot of toys I would like to have. Like an STI Target Master, or the new Sphinx 6". But those are a little bit to pricy for me.... I allready have a Pardini, so another Italian is out of the question. I gonna use it for competition shooting, a program we call field shooting. Total of 60 shots at 10 different ranges. At every range there is between 2 and 6 targets. Time limit between 6 and 13 seconds. Range between 7 and 100 yards. The pistol can not have a sight radius over 22cm (8.66"), barrel no longer than 6". Trigger pull no less than 1.36 kg (2.99 pounds) I want a pistol with a "bench" accuracy no more than 1" at 30 yards. Think I would like a single stack this time. Im leaning towards a 1911 concept. I would like to hear about pistols that are close to my needs and wants out of the box. And toughts about building a pistol from scratch. My permit says 9mm or .45.... But I would prefer 9mm. A lot cheaper to shoot. If a 45 would be a better choice, Ill go for that. Im all ears......... Have a great day |

Beretta makes a nice pistol but if it needs repair their customer service is crap. Taurus makes a nice pistol and they have a lifetime repair policy. Taurus also makes some nice 1911 pistols in .45, .380, and 9mm. Hope my 2 cents is helpful
