| red dot optics
I am thinking about installing a red-dot scope on my deer riffle. figuring max range to be around 125 yards. anyone have any advise?? how to cope with hunting using a battery?? thaks for all advise. Tony |

I don't think you could go wrong with an Aimpoint M2. Great battery life. Durable. I'd still have irons on the rifle, and use a mount that lets you remove the optic with a minimum of fuss, in case it goes belly up in the field. |

Another vote for the Aimpoint Comp M2. Special Operations Command has been using these (and their predecessors) on their CAR-15's and M4's for over a decade. That's good enough for me!

| Trijicon has some non-electronic illuminated sights that have received good reviews, as far as I know. They might be worth looking at as well. I believe that some of their products are also used by various military units, though I don't know which sights nor which units. The lack of batteries is appealing to me. George |

Aim point comp M2 unless you dont care if its rugged and want magnifacation then Aim point has a rifle scope with magnifacation that is real slick for hunting up to 150-200 yards. |
