| HK P 2000 broke in 62 rounds!
So I just received my brand new HK P2000 in 9mm, it is the Da/Sa variant with the decock at the rear of the slide, to the left of the hammer. I handled the gun, did a little dry fire and cleaned the gun, before going to the range. Once at the range I fired Speer Lawman 9mm cleanfire ammo in the SA mode and then transitioned to some DA firing. The HK was very accurate and I really liked the trigger. Next step was a DA shot fired by a SA shot and then a decock to start the cycle again. As I started my second box of ammo and began to fire, I went to decock after the aforementioned 2 shot cycle and found the decock button...no longer present. At round # 62, my brand new HK P2000 was broken. I safely unloaded the gun, put it down and found the decock button on the ground. The part had obviously broken, and the broken jagged edge was clearly present. What? Why?, How? does this happen in the first 62 rounds. In all fairness, I have had guns break with usage (Thousands and Thousands of rounds), Colt, Beretta, Glock among them. But I don't get this one.....A $700.00 gun broken in 62 rounds....WTF

I gotta say that's the first time I've heard of a defective HK but hey, every factory produces a dud now and then. I hope you have an HK armorer nearby.

Come on folks? A gun that breaks in 62 rounds doesn't generate more opinions?

Sounds like a fluke. Have you been able to get it fixed yet?

| Sent it back
I finally got the Return Authorization from H&K, after my own delay. The gun was sent back, now I will just have to wait and see. Will keep you posted.

| Broke?!?!?!?
 Man,that's tough. I feel for ya, but I guess it's true that no manufacturing process is 100% foolproof. True test will be H&K's response- we'll be watching. Good luck.

| et tu, H&K?
I guess any gun maker can let a lemon slip by from time to time, but I guess I would have not expected it from H&K. That blows!!
