My rooney gun for SSR is a S&W M25-2 sawn off to 4" (recut after a stop at 5" while allowed.) Ammo is light load 230 RN in full moon clips. Holster is a Kydex paddle from Ready Tactical Products, Decatur, AL; clips in Kydex carriers based on the Shoot The Moon design. (Free plug for my local semi-pro Kydex bender.)

There are lots of similar outfits using 625s and some 610s. I have seen very few of the 646 PC .40 revolver.

My "tactical" revolver for Polite Society is a M19 likewise cut to 4" after a stay at 5", shooting .38 Special 158 gr RN or 140 JHP +P+ from Safariland Comp II loaders. Holster is a RTP belt model, speedloader carriers by The Bear (since deceased.)

My Retro rig is a Python in Kramer.

I LIKE revolvers, even though I shoot a 1911 better.

Look into the new S&W PC 686 in 38 Super, it's a 4" gun and uses moon clips. I fondled one at the show and, as usual from the PC, the trigger is sweet.

Sorry KD, there ain't anything PC about Andy.

Andy - Just shoot that K-frame of your dad's, I'm sure that will fit in the box. Besides, he did pretty well with it at last week's match in Southgate. If that don't work, look for some old model 10 laying around the base. They won't mind if you borrow it for a weekend or three.
