To Eclipse owners, how is your finish holding up and how long have you had it? I hated my stainless target II but the Eclipse is really a pretty gun, I have to admit!! |

I had really lost interest in it for awhile. Now I plan on having it hard-chromed for that 'ghost grey' look. I'm also replacing the sights with Novaks, upgrading to a STEEL mainspring housing, upgrading to a BCP ignition system, and adding ultra-thin ivory colored grips. To accent the hard-chrome finish I'm instaling a stainless thumb-safety(single side only) & slide-stop, as well as, a complete set of stainless pins & plungers. It is EXTREAMLY accurate, I just got tired of the looks and like to customize. If I sold the Eclipse I'd loose about $300. I'd also take the chance of buying a lemon to work on. This way I know what I'm starting out with. I wouldn't worry about the finish. I see Kimber is using the Black Oxide finish on some of their standard guns also. I just don't like the overall apearance. | |
