ed brown serial numbers

Are the frame serial numbers supposed to match the number stamped on the slide? I have a new Kobra Carry whose numbers don't. Normal or mismatch?

I had the same question when I first got my Kobra Carry. I asked others who had them and their numbers didn't match either. Since the slide is obviously fitted to the frame, I'd say its normal.

Thanks, appreciate the info. First time I've ever seen a mismatch but, you are correct, the frame and slide are fitted.

I had the same question when I got my Class A Ltd. I was told that the matching serial number (or a portion of it) is located under the rear sight. The numbers inside the slide are the heat treat lot number for quality control.
