| Best Double Stack 1911 Longslide
Who makes the best? I saw Para is coming out with a six inch double stack .45acp. I think Entreprise makes one. Does Les Baer? Who else makes them without having to have one custom ordered? I want another hi-cap 1911 to replace the one I have now(currently a five inch). I just can't find too many choices for manufactured double stacks, especially longslides. I haven't quite decided on the barrel length I want yet, but longer seems to be a better idea to me.

How about having a gunsmith build a 6" upper for your 5" gun...saves on more mags ? We just did one in 10mm for a para hi-cap...very pleasant to shoot ! E-mail: rmagunsmith@aol.com and have phil give you a quote |

Bob hit the nail on the head. I am having that done for my STI Edge. I am waiting for the slide to get started. The STI is about the easiest gun I have ever shot. STI makes a long slide and they are double stack. I have two double stack Para's and they shoot good, but nothing like the STI. Yes, Les Baer makes a double stack (Caspian frame) and he will build it for you in 6". The 5" I saw at the SHOT Show was a bit pricey...running over $2800.00! Good Luck |
