I've seen two different setups on this weapon, with and without the tactical rail on the frame. Is the rail an add-on or is there a different model number for that option? One other question, is there some relation between the GSG and the SIG? I'm thinking of getting one of these as a trainer for my 12 year old who's really wanting to learn to shoot. Thanks Scott |

As far as I know, the rail is integral and it's a separate model. The SIG is a rebranded GSG. |

I went to the range today and shot these two weapons and the Colt Rail Gun. I ended up buying the Colt rail gun, all three guns shot well but the Colt won. After 200 rds through each weapon, both the GSG and the Sig had 2 FTFs, 2 FTLs and 3 FTEs. The Colt had 1 FTL, I'm not sure what caused the problem my son was using weapon at the time. I think he didn't have the magazine completely engaged before releasing the slide. Scott |
