I thought the USMC traded in their 1911s because there were too many moving parts for the average Marine. (JohnnyT, you will notice that I used proper capitalization while taking a shot at the oorahs) Love, nuttin' but love! |

Didn't the USMC green light this plan a couple years ago too, only to ditch it?

My daughter's father in law is a retarded mustang who was a combat engineer. I once remarked to him that the worse job in a combat zone would be a combat engineer. All those demo kits, bangalore torpedows, gas cans, chain saws and lots and lots of sandbags. He said "chainsaws?" Chainsaws my ass, we had crosscuts. A crosscut has about the right number of moving parts for a young Marine. |

A new .45 will be for Marine special ops units. The rest of the USMC will continue using the standard M9 Beretta. It was late last year? the government signed a contract to buy another 250,000?? new M9 pistols so we ain't gonna be changing the standard service pistol any time soon. |

Just wondering why they are being fitted with a double action spring design like their 10 mm? http://www.firearmstalk.com/entries/...stol-CQBP.html shoot safe, shoot straight, and have fun Last edited by cuba; 07-28-2012 at 11:56 AM. |
