A road trip to add a new horse to the stable

the lure of this 1978 Satin finished Colt Combat Commander called out to me:

It came with an interesting trigger guard attachment and Millett period Combat Sights:

The original owner, who I bought the gun from changed the controls to match his Government .380 but gave me the original parts.

Last night I replaced the safety, grip safety, and slide stop with the original factory satin nickel parts. I didn't get the original trigger with it but I think it looks a lot better.

Nice.
I owned and carried several Combat Commanders and always liked them.

This makes my 4th Colt Combat Commander. Two Blue Pre-Series 70 .45s, one Blue Pre-Series 70 Combat Commander Lightweight .38 Super, and now the Satin Nickel .45. I also have a S&W 1911PD, Kimber Tactical Pro II, and Charles Daly/Bul M5 hi-cap. I like the size; it conceals well for me.
