LIttle help?

I never worked on a series 80 1911 and now I have one apart that I have flat topped and done the hi power cuts on. Im ordering a bobbed mainspring housing and a beavertail grip safety. Is there any real difference between 70 and 80 series in regards to the grip safety?

Also, has anyone played with the Regent R100 series? Its what Im playing on as I figured if I snafu'd a cheap gun, oh well. I'd rather not have a 1000 dollar paperweight haha.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sam

Hi, Sam,

Yes, the lug, or arm, on the S80 is thinner than that on the S70. This is to allow clearance for the trigger safety levers.

Regards,
