Norinco frame quality

Good Day fellas .. plenty of great information here on this site .. in fact it is from here that i learned the skills and information to turn a terrible Regent R100 into a 99% reliable pistol .. but today I am hoping to find out some information about the quality of Norinco frames of which one I have recently aquired (with the ever talked about upper barrel lugs battering) .. in particular, whether the frames are made to 1911A1 specs as compared to the slides that many have commented about the barrel headspacing issues and subsequent slide rails repairs to allow a new barrel to be fit properly .. so what I am looking to do is mate the Regent R100 slide (with barrel) to the Norinco frame .. the Regent frame has a longer grip front to back than the Norinco and the Norinco fits my hand better .. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
