pinched frame fix?
Hi guys. New guy here looking for advice. I recently bought a 9mm, colt commander from Sarco. I believe it was advertised as an Isreali police trade-in. Somewhere in its rough life it looks like it was put in a vise, right on the grip screw escutcheon. The frame is pinched just enough to make mag insertion and removal a drag. The mag will go in with a push. But will not drop free. I am a tinkerer. Not a gunsmith. Any help or recommendations who to send it to for help?? Love the pistol. I replaced a bunch of worn parts. Sights, springs, barrel bushing etc.. It's turning into a shooter, but needs the mag issue addressed. Thanks for any help. dcl.

Colt will probably be able to take care of it with no problem.
I'm sure that this would not be the first like this they've seen since 1912.
If they won't, talk to Master pistolsmith Frank Glenn in Arizona.
My first stop would be Colt. I would NOT take it to some local. God only knows what a local might do to it.
