is it just brass?

I have a wilson millenium protector with a new 18.5 pound recoil spring (I also replaced the firing ping spring since it came with the wolff spring package). now I am getting about 1 out of every 20 rounds when the round ejects the primer will come out of the brass and fall back into the gun. I admit I am lazy tracking my brass but could this be happening just because some of the brass may be old and the primers are not seated as tightly as they once were or something else????

thanks.

I had this problem once. Turned out it was the Federal Large Pistol primers I was using. Switched to WLP's and it never happened again.

I think I found the solution to this one. I put in an Ed Brown Firing pin and the problem has seemt gone away. I looked at the difference in the lengths of the firing pin and the Ed Brown is slightly shorter. Out of curiousity, what is the length of the firing pin suppose to be?
