Thumbs up Russian Makarov IJ70-18A

I have a question regarding the post manufacturing process of IMEX.
I have recently acquired a pristine Mak, manufactured in 1994 and not fired since importation by KBI, HBG, PA.
I try to keep an accurate gun log for all my firearms including, if possible, all rounds fired, including those test rounds at the factory prior to shipping.
Does anyone have an idea what the usual procedure was by IMEX involving test firings prior to exportation?

Not likely anyone here would know that, but Welcome to Pistolsmith.

While I admire you for keeping meticulous records, do you feel the number fired by the factory personnel is actually significant?

Seemed to be common practice for a long time in Europe for the makers to fire a three shot group. Sometimes they even put the test target in the box with the handgun.

But the guns I'm thinking of were manufactured for police/commercial sale by companies such as Walther and Sig Sauer. Could be that the Commie countries did things differently.

Russian Makarov, IJ70-18Am factory test firing

Thx for the replies.
I've also heard from an author of a book on the operation of this firearm, and he "suspected" that they test fired one mag (8rds).
Really is not that critical obviously, but I enjoy the history and am just truing to fill that blank information.
