| 1911 grip safety problem
After putting in a new sear spring (which made the trigger just wonderful) the grip safety barely to doesn't work. Any home remedies? My hunch is it's a bend of the right side tine on the sear spring but which way? |

So where would you post such a question that you would get a response on the Pistolsmith Forum?

| grip safety`
yes it could be the right hand arm of the sear spring try bending it outward a bit. this will apply more pressure on the grip safety to push it out and engage the trigger Suggest you go get Jerry Kuhnhausen's book on the 1911. it will help you quite a bit in your learing curve on the 1911 |
