Any fans of Nightforce scopes?

I'm not a very knowledgable scope person but have been recommended the Nightforce scopes for tactical / target / varmit shooting. Any opinions pro or con?

Great scopes but not the only thing going.

Check out US Optics and Horus also.

All great long range scopes...

Rings?

While we're on the subject, any suggestions on best scope rings?

Badger base and rings. Period. I've yet to actually see any fail. On the scopes, Nightforce is a good choice, but US Optics has the best optical clarity of any scopes I've ever tried. This includes Schmidt and Bender which I would rate right up there with US Optics. If you're looking to save money though, I still think Leupold offers the best value, the most bang for the buck.

Yeah the Leupolds scopes are a great value if that is what you are looking for. I would go with them before a number of the other brands...

fwiw & imho,
I sell Schmidt Bender and Badger, however, I'd not tell you that S&B makes the best target scope in the world. March target scopes have impressed me as of late, however, they are far more expensive than Nightforce and more jap glass. With only a 5 year warranty to boot. I personally can't shoot up to S&B or Nightforce. Badger is my ring of choice if weight is not important....
