| Is an AR15 butt stock swap difficult?
How difficult is it to switch the collapsable AR15 butt stock with a standard solid one? I'm considering making my "Shorty" into a varmit heavy-barrel varmit shooter. Do they make butt stocks with a higher comb for shooting with a scope or is it unnecessary? |

| comb
The height of the comb depends on if you have a cut off carrying handle. If you have the original hangle you will need to hold your cheek off the stock or get a riser.

I'm going to put on a bull barrel flat top upper. No handle.

Hoser, its not dificult if you know what your doing. In AR terms, the height of your face against the stock is called a cheek weld. They are add-ons or as stock replacements. Check the websites for companies like: ADCOFirearms.com Ameetecarms.com Bushmaster.com Cavalryarms.com DPMS.com Fulton-Armory.com Be advised the full size stock uses a different buffer, buffer tube, spring, lockring, in other words everything. So get a complete stock set. |
