| P220 Ernie Langdon
38 Sup, After several months of searching, and subsequently paying, I was able to find a gent that was willing to part with the second EL 220 he had purchased. He had never fired it and it had sat in his safe. He decided to sell it to fund another project, and I jumped on it. He still has and shoots the first Langdon he had bought. I think the Langdon's are probably the best collaboration piece and arguably one of the best looking pistols SIG has ever put out. And the represent a pretty good value if you look at what a standard 220ST is running these days. The Nitron Slide, the Nill Grips, the Warren/Fiber Optic Sights, SS guide rod, extended mag release (pro & con) and the (intended) short trigger (which I hear SIG will install if you send it back to them)--> those enhancements far exceed the price increase over a standard 220ST. I too am planing on it making the trip back to SIG for the short trigger, action enhancement package, barrel crown, and for some strange reason, mine doesn't have the SS guiderod(I dunno???). I have an original Landgon guide rod that I am considering putting in, but not sure yet. Yeah, it would be great of Mr. Landgon got back into 'smithing SIG's again. This baby would first in line for some of his work. As you probably know there were only about 375-400 Langdon's made, so hang on to it, cuz they aren't easy to find. Good luck and post some pix. Speaking of which, here are some links to fellow EL owners over on SF: http://sigforum.com/groupee/forums/a/tp ... #746108894 http://sigforum.com/groupee/forums/a/tp ... 010773/p/1 http://sigforum.com/groupee/forums/a/tp ... #142106034 Regards, BOSS |

| Lovin' the P220-EL
Yeah, I've certainly enjoyed both of mine. It was a real treat to find the first one and I liked it soooo much, I just had to snag another. These are MY babies: ![]() I too would agree, that the Langdons were some of SiGARMS best optioned pistols ever. They have all the options I'd have chose personally if I were going to special order a custom P220ST. Though I haven't got around to it yet, I was considering sending one off to Bruce Gray to work his magic. Belgian Blue |

I don't think Smith & Wesson would approve of Ernest working on Sig-Sauers.

If you want a pistol like and better than the Langdon model, buy a stock or used pistol and send it to Bruce Gray of Grayguns. scott@grayguns.com |
