Where can I purchase a .357 sig barrel for my Sig 229 via internet, and is that the only mod necessary for the conversion?

The 40S&W to 357 SIG and reverse caliber conversion requirement for the P229 and P226 is just a barrel change.
For the P239 it is a magazine and barrel change.
You may try Brownells for the part. You may spend a little more but anyone who did not like what they got or had a problem with what was received there is a great customer service policy. (http://www.brownells.com)
You get what you pay for front end or back end.
Be safe and keep the brass flying,
