just wanted some help from deciding. I'm either going to get an hk usp 45 or a sig p220. Can anybody tell me why they think i should buy one over the other besides magazine capacity. Thanx for the input!!!

I have the 220 and the 245...All I can say is they are both great guns...NUFF said!

I have the HK Tactical... Shoots well, but it is a Vry big gun in terms of it's grip and slide. Not a ccw choice!

If I had to choose between the ones you are considering, I'd go with the 220, you won't be dissapointed!

I have a P220 and it is a teriffic pistol, very accurate and reliable. I have shot the USP 45 full size and compact, and I like them also. Although I am not real thrilled with plastic framed guns the H&K's are much nicer, IMO, than the Glocks. One of the features I like on the H&K that Sig doesn't have is the thumb safety. I like an external safety on a gun just personal preference.

Between the two I would probably go with the Sig over the H&K because I am more familar with it, and it is a little more comforatable for me to shoot. Also the Sig comes with regular rifling as opposed to the H&K polygonal rifling, so you can shoot lead bullets, as a reloader that's very important to me.
Both guns would serve you well and for a life time, it's a really tough choice. Good lucj hope this helps some.

I've had 'em both, and like them both, but
slightly prefer the Sig. The HK gets the
vote for toughness, but the trigger is a bit
prohibitive to marksmanship. The Sig's
trigger is silky smooth, but can't take the
beating or extended use with +P ammo. I
still have my P220 .45/.400 Cor-Bon, but not
my HK USP .45 or USP .45/.40 Super Compact
(which both had triggers by Teddy Jacobson,
the only way I would consider carrying one!).
That tells me who the victor was in that

I have owned both, but well over 2500 rounds through both before selling the Sig. The USP just works better for ME.

I bought an absolute lemon of a P220. Bought it based only on reputation and was very disappointed. My HK's have been 100% joys to own and shoot.
