5906 barrel threaded

Someone was asking me recently if I knew of a S&W semiauto in .40 with a six inch barrel. A friend of theirs was looking for one that they thought they had seen. The guy telling me this didn't think there was a model like this and I didn't think so either. But I thought that it was possible that the custom shop had made a special run that neither of us knew about.

I googled for this with no results other than six inch revolvers.

Anyone seen one of these???

The Performance Center manufactures a six inch PPC 9mm based on the 5906 for Police Pistol Competition. Whether they make one in .40, I don't know. You'll have to contact them.

They made 5" 40's and a P/C Tactical model that was a 5" ,I think, with the barrel sticking out about another inch, it may have been ported. But other than that no 6" 40s that I ever heard of. They could easily make one , probably be costly though.Bob
