Question about Smith & Wesson model 469

Hi to all. I'm new on this forum so this is my first post. I have a s&w mod# 469 all the info i have gatherd on this pistol says it blued and is steel. well mine is satin finish stainless steel from what i gather the 669 was only stainless. I bought the gun used but it apears to be original. question is what do i have?

I have a 469 that I bought brand new. 1st, what is the model number
engraved on the frame of the gun above the trigger ?
If that says 469 than I guess that is what you have.
It is possible that someone could have acquired a stainless
slide off of a 669 and put it on your gun. But the frame of
the gun I think is aluminum and maybe someone stripped
the blue off of it.
Show us a photo of your gun. I am curious.

The 469 was only made in blued steel with an anodized alloy frame. There were some made for ashland shooters supply in brushed nickel. I have seen one of these, and believed it to be brushed stainless, but if it marked 469 it probably is a nickel finish if the finish is factory.

IraIII Is right. I found this out to day. It is nickle plated steel. Is it worth anything.
