Where can I find out more infor on these two handguns? Is the PC 5906 just their standard Performance Center TSW 5906?

I read about them in a S&W catalog/annual that a S&W rep left with me.

Isn't there a S&W forum somewhere?

I understand the Performance Center doesn't make the PC5906 anymore. It was built to different specs, tighter, stronger, whatever else they did. It is the smoothest Smith auto I have ever shot, and much more accurate than any other also. A really nice 15 shot 9mm. If you can get one, I'd say do it. Hopefully I'm wrong and they are making them.

The PPC 9mm is available to Law Enforcement Officers' only.

5 inch and the new 6 inch version.

There is a used PC5906 at a gun shop in Victoria Tx, $799. it was bought brand new by a sheriffs deputy and he later traded it in for something else. it is still tight and he put abrasive tape on the grip, but that can be easily changed. If I shot 9mm, I would buy it, but I've got to much invested in 45acp. this gun saw more holster time than range time.

Thanks everyone. I found out after a lengthy conversation with Smith and Wesson Performance Center Rep that the PC5906 is the same thing the distributor Camfour calls their "IDPA" model.

I appreciate everyones input ont his matter.
