I saw a used S&W, model 41 with a 5" or 5 1/2" bb for low $400's. It is aprox 95%. Is that a good price? Is there anything I should pay special attention to? PS. I won't buy a new one! Sam

That sounds like a good price.

Does it have the Millett sights? IMHO, those have no business on an otherwise fine target pistol.

IMHO unless it's a dog for some reason it's a good price.
I bought mine for dealer cost several years ago and paid a little over $500 with tax.

I hemmed and hawed for years before plunking down 600 bucks for a new one a couple of years ago. Bought the 7" barrel too just for fun (another 200 bucks).

I have never regretted spending the money - from the moment I pulled the trigger for the first time.

Assuming there are no problems, I'd buy it in a minute.

Sam

Bought mine 5 years ago. Very nice blueing and extremely accurate. Will never sell it. Good luck with your future purchase.

Sold my 41 a few years ago, along with my 22 masterpiece, in a fit of insanity. But the 41 had to be the most accurate pitol I have ever shot. Damn I wish I had that sucker back.
