Hello, I have a opportunity to buy a S&W19-3 2 1/2" barrel, rubber grips about 90-95%. Timing is excellent, lockup very good, bore and chambers very clean. Slight rust spot on cylinder 1/4" bluing is beautiful. Seller is asking 500.00 OTD. do you think this is a good price? Thanks to all who respond.
Personally, I'd call that high in that condition.
True the Model 19 is no longer made, and the 2 1/2" version is worth more, but for that money I'd expect to see the original factory grips and no rust at all with more original bluing present.
buy it...it's the best there is from s&w...pinned and recessed...you can always find stocks for the gun...the search is the most fun. They are great shooters.
This seller is using the 'greater fool' marketing strategy.
Someone who is greater fool than he is, will come along and think they got a great deal.
