Smith Model 647

I purchased a Model 647 NIB, 17 HMR, it split (5 / 6) cases the first wheel full. Changed ammo. same thing. Changed ammo again, same thing.

My gunsmith told me to return to sender. I refused because I was confident Smith would make it right.

Contacted Smith, sent pistol back, they told me they changed cyllinder. They did not. Told them what happen, sent it back again, they told me they changed it again. They did not. I asked them if they test fired it. He told me it passed. He couldn't tell me what passed meant however.

I shot it and cracked 5/6 cases.

Looks like I need to fix it myself becasue Smith eithet isn't interested in making it right or doesn't have resources or skillset to address the issue.

Head space is off or shoulders are deep. Anybody heard anything on the 647's splitting cases or who can make me a new cyclinder.
